Founder – Late Acharya Shri D. B. Dadawala

The founding father of A.SDB DADAWALA jr college Shree Dhansukh Lal Dadawala was a man of immense foresight, management, skills and unstoppable optimism. Since years, the Gujarati community had been a part of Maharashtra trying to preserve their tradition and culture in this historical state. The language Gujarati was losing its speakers. As the students didn’t have access to it. Dadawala Sir was unhappy with the situation and wanted to change this. He started with making the foundation strong by starting primary education in Gujarati with the help of JP Trivedi sir. With only 50 students in class of eighth and ninth, 1936, saw the emergence of Anglo Gujarati school in a rented room in Gopalji Mandir in the following years, this small classroom turned into one of the foremost educational Institute in Pune city catering to the educational needs of ever thriving Gujarati community.
